Angela Kapp is the Senior Vice President – CRM & New Initiatives, for The Estee Lauder Companies.
The Estee Lauder Company brands include: Est_e Lauder, Clinique, MAC, Bobbi Brown Essentials, Prescriptives, Aramis, Origins, Aveda, Creme de la Mer, Donna Karan Cosmetics, Darphin, Rodan & Fields, American Beauty, and gloss.com. During her tenure with the Estee Lauder Companies, Angela has conceived of, launched and managed several successful businesses including: the ELC Online division, a multi-million dollar business with five award-winning e-commerce Web sites; Clinique on Campus (Clinique counters in college bookstores) and the first Clinique retail store in the U.S. In 2001, she then turned her attention to "the next big thing" addressing what CRM and consumer marketing really means to prestige brands, and how they can best realize this opportunity, in an era of increased customer expectations, privacy awareness, and government regulation.
Hailed by Internet World as one of the "Top 25 Shapers of the Net,” Angela has specialized in helping not only Estee Lauder, but a variety of Fortune 500 retailers and brands maximize their multi-channel retailing, CRM, and integrated marketing opportunities.
Prior to joining the Estee Lauder Companies, Angela was founder and president of New York Wise, a fundraising and special events firm whose blue-chip clients included Apple Computer, Merrill Lynch, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
A sought-after commentator on multi-channel retailing and CRM, Angela is frequently called upon by both consumer and business press including CNN, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Wired and Women’s Wear Daily. She also has served on the Board of several leading retail organizations including the NRF's shop.org and the Journal for Interactive Marketing.
She holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University. She speaks French and Italian.
